Welcome to DC Music School BETA - Official Launch 2017

First post of 2017!

Hello everyone! Here’s the latest news. I’ve been working on finishing up all outstanding transcriptions. My transcribers have sent me most of what’s missing already. In the past few weeks, I have uploaded the etudes of Antoine Boyer Vol.2, Stochelo Rosenberg Vol.1 and 2, Pat Martino Vol.1, Ulf Wakenius, Vol.2.

Ulf Wakenius Vol.1 and 3 should be on their way within the next 2 weeks. The Ulf Wakenius took a very long time to do because we included so much in the package, and Ulf’s playing is extremely rhythmically complex. The most complex we’ve ever had to do. In order to do these properly, I told my transcribers to take their time to do it so as not to go insane! They have submitted all the solos now, and I am in the process of reviewing them. Given the complexity of the playing, the reviewing process is also time consuming. Nonetheless, rest assured, they are on their way!

The Pat Martino solos are being transcribed as well, and I hope to have everything uploaded well before April 2017. Though not as complicated as Ulf, Pat’s playing is also very rhythmically intricate, so they take time as well. Thanks for everyone’s patience!

In other news, the new site is actually functional. I have been testing it for the past few weeks. It still needs some tweaking before it can be launched. We are really hoping to launch it before May 2017, if not much earlier.

Once the new site is live, we will keep the pricing system as it is for a short period of time. After which, we will have two pricing systems. As many of you know, each of our products come jam packed with information. If I may dare say so, more-so than the vast majority of educational companies out there, for much cheaper than competitors. I do things this way, because I really want each lesson to be as detailed as possible while making things affordable. The downside, as you see, is that it takes a lot of time to make all these transcriptions that many people request. As such, we will continue to release videos without transcriptions at a discounted price. Transcriptions may take 2-8 months to complete depending on the complexity, but once everything is uploaded, the product will entire a new price system. The alternative is to include less songs and less playing examples, but then the lesson is not as complete as I’d like it to be. With all these examples and songs, we really get to see all the different aspects of an artist’s style, and this is what is most exciting to me!

With the discounted early release system, we encourage people to buy early, especially those who prefer to do their own transcribing. Buying early also allows us to hire more transcribers!

What does the new site offer? Please check out the previous blog posts for more info, but you will be able to save videos offline with google chrome or firefox. You will be able to create loops, slow down videos, you will be able to view everything on your tablet or phone, and much much more!

Thanks for everyone’s support thus far!
